A bit of detective work shows the following:

The early Type 34 (1963 or 64, I think) user manual and the Elfrink manual
both show wires with straight ends.

The 1969 Type 34 user manual shows the L-shaped connectors. The Type 34
never had FI, so I assume this means that late carbed engines had L-shaped
connectors too.
