I didn't think the throttle cable would even REACH the generator???? If it did, it wouldn't hurt anything unless it mechanically scraped the commutator or damaged the windings, or unless it was allowed to stay there a long time. Even then, I'd expect the generator to put out enough current to burn up the throttle cable first.
