Re: [T3] New '63 Notch

NICE! and Thats the correct speedo!!

Be sure you take care of that surface rust under the rockers and on the pan
though.... I know, you live in the desert but there is a rainy season...

Did you know... they dump 200lbs of salt per mile of 2 lane road here in
NY?? we are the saltiest state in the union and probably the saltiest place
in the world!!

Subject: [T3] New '63 Notch

I recently bought a '63 Notchback from the original family, it's nice!

Here are some photos:
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/scrapbook/63notch/

Highlights:
80K miles
Rot-free
Original engine/transmission/paint/etc.
Mostly original interior with uncracked dash!
Recent Leistritz exhaust, wheel cylinders, and master cylinder, all NOS.

It needs a bunch of minor mechanical work, tires, and some cleaning.

It will be my new daily driver by early 2003.
