One thing I found to help (after making sure all connections were tight) was
to put an insulative jacket or sleeve around the flexible piping that connects
the heat exchanger output to the body. My Squareback came stock with these
but one ended up missing. I replaced both and it helped.
I remember having to scrape ice off the INSIDE of the windshield...
