Yeah, I have to assume that the engine blew first and the chunk of #3 piston my buddy found on top took out a section of the ring main that passes along the front tin. I don't see how the fire could have started first and then caused that kind of damage. Anyway I am in the search for another long block on the cheap and looking at other options but this car will run again:) With the engine out now is probably a good time to get the under carriage steam cleaned and maybe POR 15 it too before winter weather sets in.
