<x-flowed>how do you check the advance mechanism? i have sucked on the hose (sucking 
on dirty hoses sure is fun, huh?) the plate inside the distributor rotates 
some, and snaps bac just fine when released. is there anything else i can do 
to check it?

next on my list for things to verify for the current problem..

test voltage at mid rpm
check fuel pressure. now, if it is high i can just adjust it while idling?
recheck temp sensors when cold.
recheck timing and dwell.

i will try to hve it all done tomorrow and will report back. emissions due 
be 8-31-02. yeehaw.
