Re: [T3] poor emissions update

<x-charset iso-8859-1>OK, you are running too rich at 2500 rpm. I am not an expert on these
systems; however, all Bosch FI systems that I have worked on have a mixture
adjustment. Find the adjustment and reduce the mixture.

I adjusted my Mercedes while it was on the emissions test stand. They were
flabbergasted, but they didn't give me any flak.

Subject: [T3] poor emissions update

i timed her and replaced the points last night in an attempt to pass
emissions. it is now right on TDC, 46d dwell, and the aux air reg is now
working properly (i think). i headed on down to the testing center (they
give one freebie after you fail) i passed the idle test, but the 2500 test
got worse. once again, i failed the co% only.

  standard me
  5.00 4.32 at idle
  5.00 9.68 at 2500 rpm

hasen't anyone out there had to do emissions on their car?
could burning oil cause co% to go up? i don't like the idea of having to
rebuild the engine to appease the state of idaho, but i have been thinking
about it for a while.
