Wilson, I think (as others have mentioned) that you're kinda barking up the wrong tree with this one. There really is no appreciable motion between the engine and the body, aside perhaps from a little bit of play in the rubber mounts. Even so, jacking up the body wouldn't compress or extend these mounts in any way that I can see.


Don't you have the modified frame horn deal for your Type IV engine in an IRS Squareback? I'm guessing that your engine is coming too close to the cargo floor/engine lid? I suppose that the "worst case scenario" here is that this assembly got welded up wrong, and you're hoping that it's not so?
