<x-charset iso-8859-1>>Any recommendations on suspension up/down relative >to normal drive location? Lift up and let wheels >dangle or in normal operating position, or both? > I always do wheels off the ground per the owner's manual. I usually spin the front wheels too, make sure they spin freely. For someone doing this for the first time on a car, remove the front wheels and spend some time cleaning off the dirt on the front beam and spindles. I usually make sure the top rear (by the windshield) and bottom rear (near the door) are clear of dirt too, Type 3s collect mud there are rust out the tops and bottoms of the front fenders, as most of us have witnessed. -- Everett Barnes '67 Squareback with hole in bottom of driver's fender. ;( ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/ </x-charset>
