<x-charset iso-8859-1>I say three cheers for Mr. Tsontakis. People like him make the world a
better place. I'd buy him a cool one if I were anywhere near him.

Hello Everyone!!!

Guess what?!!! I am the new owner of a 63 notch that
this gentleman below gave to me! WOOHOOO!!! The only
thing I paid for it was the gas and a couple meals
that got me there. Very sweet huh? I am so very
excited!!!! I still cannot believe that I have a Notch
sitting at home just for me:). Just when I was
thinking about all you guys at Parma cruizin your
'backs and the rest of us lamo's (no offense to
anyone) at home sitting around working, I saw this
post. I about freaked.

My wife and I have been toiling with the idea of
getting another car because of how little rust and
body damage the Fasty has and that I don't want to add
any more rust and/or body damage to it and that I
don't want to drive it through another winter, ever.
Bonnie said if we could find something that was super
cheap then we would "consider* it. Well about 2 or
3 days later I see this post by George here. And I
knew I had to have it. Mainly because Aspen is only
about 2.5 hours away and its a friggin Notch. So I had
to get it. Sorry all you guys who may have had a
chance to get it, one of those first come first serve
things you know?

Anyway I fell in love the moment I saw it just like it
happens with all of us. I was able to borrow a dolly
at last minute from a new friend of mine and
surprisingly we had almost no trouble. The adjustment
straps that are to be in line with the wheels were
mounted by Allen bolts that was standard size (of
course) and I didn't have so im provisions had to be
inflicted. The bolt size was 9mm. Who uses a friggin
9mm? or whatever the standard conversion is. But I
still was able to get through this and get it home. It
towed beautifully. Just looking in the rear-view
mirror and seeing a 40 year old Notch riding behind
us. What a feeling.

Well I am in a new world guys and I will be asking all
of you Notchsters about everything I am sure. Its 6
volt and single carbed.

So thank you Mr. Tsontakis for a wonderful gift and I
surely fulfill your request by giving it a great home.
Also it will be returned to service once I have the
cash to get it properly maintenenced. I cannot tell
you enough how much I love this car! My son Joseph who
is 17 months old already likes it too. He says
"Dada car, vrroomm vrrooom." Which means- it
is now part of our family and I love it daddy.

It's
> currently off the road
> and would need some fiddling getting it back on
the
> road. But the engine
> runs well, and the body is in pretty good shape
> (colorado dry climate)
> except for oxidixing color. I'd let it go for
little
> or nothing, if someone
> comes
> get it (Aspen, Colo) and promises to fix it up
(ie:
> not just for parts). It's
> been a good friend.
