I tried to explain it in simpler terms, as I didn't know if techie terms like "vapor pressure" would be well-understood (or the difference between the vapor pressure of oil and the vapor pressure of oil when it's half gasoline :-), while he made use of the full technical lingo to explain it. Perhaps it was my misunderstanding, too... by the tone of your e-mail, it looked like you complimented me, then used smiley faces on other phrases essentially negating everything I've said and implying that I'm full of BS. You didn't reply to actual statements I'd said nor ask about any points I'd made - you just quoted opinions from other people that were the opposite, then made comments about them like "real life experiences show this" followed by a smiley face. If that was my misunderstanding, I apologize.
