Rather, it kinda-sorta splits the difference. The rearward cylinder of the forward bank (4) and the forward cylinder of the rearward bank (1), therefore, will sit closer to the centerline of the fan shroud than the rearward cylinder of the rearward bank (2) and the forward cylinder of the forward bank (3). Take a look at a T1 engine with the tin all installed except for the main shroud itself and you'll see what I mean...
