<x-charset iso-8859-1>Success I guess would be defined in it running as expected and not melting the car to the ground. I don't know any names, however I did speak with Kelly over the Texas Bug Stop, and he had indicated that he knows of at least a handful of people running uprights in Fastbacks, and in particular one large upright in a Notch. He indicated that I may have to go with external coolers and such to keep the temps in good shape, but that it is more than just possible. Please realize Steven, I find this list to be helpful in most cases... however I was trying to avoid getting any negative feedback from those people that believe that you are making a huge mistake by not building back to stock. I'm not saying that you are one of those people... but I was hoping for feedback from people who have either evaluated this option seriously, or have done T4 power with success. It does seem that there are at least a few of those on the list, and I would think that maybe a few of them either considered T1 power, or attempted it. Thanks for your feedback, no offense intended. -bryan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steven Ayres" <comwest@att.net> To: <type3@vwtype3.org> Sent: Wednesday, August 07, 2002 1:28 PM Subject: Re: [T3] Fastback motor buildup > Bryan=> Even though some people have had great success with this > configuration? > > Name one, and define 'success'.
