chokes, or in the case of my 68 Triumph Spitfire MKIII chokes that are just
too much trouble to usem (dual side-draft SU variable venturi carbs). I
personally havent ever had a problem starting a car without them.

Sure there is a little hesitation, and other quirks without chokes. We own
40'ish year old cars though, I would suspect that if you are a person that
minded a few extra quirks in the car you would definitely not own something
that old :)
