I don't know of any reason to do anything to the rod
nuts except to torque them to the proper setting and
stake them, I have never had any come loose(put
locktight on them if it makes you feel better, won't
hurt anything). Assembly lube, I mix my own, vaseline
and good engine oil, with this mixture the case can
sit a long time and not seeze up. I will get some
flack over this but this is what I have done for a
long time and have had no bad results, ever. Phil
