While your post did turn out to be "non-type 3", your intentions were honorable and getting good parts into worthy hands is always a good thing to do. > What I didn't know before was, not all Ghia's" are T3. I thought they were. There were both type 1 (beetle based) and type 3 Karmann Ghias. The latter are known as type 34s here because they were type 3, subtype 4. Type 34s were never sold new in the US, while the type 1 Ghias were sold here for their entire production range. On top of this, while not all that many type 1 Ghias were made (for a production car) there were probably 10 times more type 1 Ghias built than type 3 Ghias, so the type 34s are really quite rare, no matter where you are in the world. - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org
