I like to torque heads on a rebuild over a period of a couple of days: Alternate sides, work up slowly 10 lb-ft L/R, 15 lb-ft L/R, 20 lb-ft L/R, then increase in 2 lb-ft increments over a couple of days. That way if anything settles, it will get evened up the next day. Did this case get inserts?
