<x-charset windows-1252>I agree that in theory our engines should not need retorquing. However, after checking my compression recently and seeing some disparity, I checked the torque on the studs under the valve covers and found one extremely loose and one other that was slightly loose. Both took full torque again so I don't think it was a stud pulling loose, but I figured it would be worth a look anyway. Besides, it is much easier to set the valves with the engine on the stand than in the car. I am also going to check out the clutch. I get frequent chattering during launch. I also want to fix an exhaust leak and other things. Later, John Jaranson '71 FI Auto Fasty (Jane) '66 Square (???)
