<x-charset ISO-8859-1>I've used Corroless in the rear cargo area and under the rear wings in heavy rust areas (always one coat). With over a year on the car I've seen no rust. It's not necessarily a 'pretty' color like the POR-15 black but is requires much less prep work and I'm quite satisified with it. I put POR-15 down on the pan, cabin-side, and coming close to a year without issue (only had enough for one coat). I did the full prep of the surface as directed. The bad part about my particular 'test' is that the car has been garaged pretty much the whole time so it does NOT represent real-world every-day use. Personally, I prefer the ease-of-use of Corroless. And its performance has been flawless. However, I've heard more good than bad about POR-15 and my use of it so far has been favorable so I certainly won't kick it out of my flammables cupboard :) Toby Erkson air_cooled_nut@pobox.com '72 VW Squareback 1.6L bored and stroked to 2.0L, Berg five-speed, etc. '95 VW Jetta III GL 2.0L, P-Chip, Jamex suspension, 2.25" MagnaFlow, etc. Portland, Oregon, http://www.icbm.org/ >-----Original Message----- >... > My main worries are that with only 1 coat of the stuff (2 >is reccomended in the directions) it shows rust again rather quickly, weather this is because the only 1 layer is still permeable or because the >deterioration is still occuring under there I dont know...Most applications that people are happy with are >only a couple years old and that isnt much.
