<x-charset iso-8859-1>You changed the beam and ended up squashing the horn's ground wire to the chassis. One wire comes from your fuse block and the other comes from the center of the steering column all the way down to the other side, next to the beam just above the steering box , it should be the only wire there that eventually is connected to the horn's ground connection. The horn itself always has a 'hot" or positive wire that is on all of the time when the key is turned. The ground needed for the horn is under the horn ring on the steering column . When you push the the ring you short the horn's ground wire to chassis ground (minus side of the battery) and your horn beeps. In your case, the ground wire is being caught somewhere , it should be easy to spot, just follow the wire that comes out the bottom of the steering column.
