It's actually quite thin, and brushing it on gives a really nice finish, after brushing it on, within about 5 minutes it has spread itself out, and dries completely smooth. For small holes in the floor pan, use some tape on the underside, and paint over the top, then take the tape off and paint the bottom and your hole will be completely sealed. One thing I found though, I used masking tape over a couple of small pinholes in my pan, and after the POR-15 had dried, I took the tape off, but some of it got stuck where the POR had soaked through the holes and onto the underside of the pan. I used standard packing tape the second time, (because it is non-porous) and it didn't stick. Also, wear gloves and old clothes while you are painting with it, once it dries on something, it is pretty permanent.
