Not even close...I had a stinger on my first bug, with the baffel insert (I 
wouldnt consider running without it, too little back pressure) I figure it 
took about a week to blow out all the fiberglass that is around the baffel, 
this happened with two different baffels. After that you are left with just 
the louvers in the center pipe to control noise. Its pretty damn loud 
actually, no where near as loud without the baffel though. noise level at 
low RPM's/close throttle position is not too loud, but get on the throttle 
and the noise climbs exponentially.

I think that between the stinger and the dual QP the horsepower difference 
is marginal, a little more with the stinger. There was an article in a 
HotVW's lately that showed that the "fat boy" style of muffler gave the best 
horsepower, dual QP was under than then came the single QP.
