This bolt is locked by a nut and you need a stubby flatblade screwdriver to adjust it. To make it easier to access the steering box , it is better to remove the spare tire well, just a couple of screws. You can vary the play with this, I had almost 10 inches of play when I got the car now I have about a half inch. While you are there check the grease/oil in there, for this I loosened the center bolt and removed the 4 bolts holding the cover then I rotated the cover, being careful not to rip the gasket, filled and put back to gether.
