The upright engine will pull up hot air from below and overheat. The type 3 air cooling system is different. --> Couldn't he use the long block from the bus? and then all the cooling tin and goodies from the fastback? Of course the oil filler wouldn't work... right? unless it is actually a universal case with a block off plate or whatever bug/bus people do with that hole..
