[T3] Engine Temp control flaps/specs

<x-flowed>I finally found my K-type thermocouples that I have, so now I can get some 
good engine temp readings.

Does anyone know what certain temps should be on a stock FI motor? I 
measured the exhaust temp by sticking the thermocouple on the 
tailpipe...80C/176F (im sure the air coming out the underside of the car 
altered this some). I also measured the temp the fan housing, again by 
sticking the thermocouple on the outside of it...37C/99F. These temps were 
after my wife got done doing some around town driving, so these arent "after 
driving at 75mph" kind of temps :)

Any suggestions on how I should go about measuring the oil temp? I was 
thinking about affixing the T/C to the end of the dip stick. Im pretty sure 
that sticking it on the outside of the sump will not give an accurate 
measurement.

Also any temp specs that I should be reading would be appreciated. Oil temp? 
cooling air temp? any others?
