Does anyone know the > ramifications of this It just means that your engine has been replace or rebuilt. You can't use the 72-3 oil pump, but you can use a pump made for the flat cam. If you use an oversize pump, you may have to clearance the rear mount crossbar so things will fit properly. How wide are the gears in the old pump?
