<x-charset iso-8859-1>Well, I don't know how I missed that Female T3'ers thread, but I'll pipe up now! I started my VW addiction in 89, when my first car was a 71 Ghia. than I had a 72 Ghia, than a 72 T3 Square.. after a 6 year (GEO owning) stay in New Orleans (I grew up in SoCal) I got my current car, a 68 T3 Square. I learned to work on VW's from my first boyfriend, and we worked on our cars together for a year+... (he had a 64 ragtop bug) After we broke up (couldn't date a BUG guy! heeheehee just kiddin'), I continued on my own.. I've rebuilt 3 engines, including a type3 to type 1 conversion, and I have worked on pretty much everything on a Ghia that can be worked on.. my type3 edumacation is doing well, however, I have been blessed (knock on wood) with few major problems on my 68 so far) I am available, by the way, to check out cars for folks who are looking in this area , LA and Orange County. CA for cars to buy from afar.. I do a really good job at checking out and recording the condition of potential cars for sale.. ask Mr. Wallace.. I looked at two for him.. I think being female, (and a little odd looking) is an advantage. I tend to knock sellers off balance when I surprise them with my knowledge... *"um, well, sir, as a fact, all VW's do not pop out of reverse occasionally.. they do it because of the softer reverse gear wearing out.. tranny rebuild time..."* Also...I seem to have re-adopted the 74 T4 Square I bought for my boyfriend... Until I have gotten it on the road again, anyway.. I have a feeling his interest will come back around then.... ;-) well, there we go.. I can never resist the opportunity to talk about myself... :-D tomorrow I get to replace the clutch in my 89 Suzuki Sportbike...... I'd rather be adjusting valves in my square... :-) Micah ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org </x-charset>
