[T3] 72 or not a 72

<x-charset iso-8859-1>Sent this last night in response to Jims question about what FI brain I
have. Unfortunately I didnt have it in plain text format so it didnt get to
the list.

The car is 72 square FI

The FI brain had a number of different numbers on it. One stamped into the
cover 929 then a symbol 471. I think thats was it is, the stamp was of poor
quality. On the back there is a bosch sticker, which has three different
numbers on it. 224705 is small and runs sideways. CU15X is directly in the
middle..or it might be OU15X. and at the bottom is 0280 000 048 090, not
sure about the first 4 in that group.

Engine number (this is a newly installed rebuilt longblock, not the original
motor) U0434371

Distributor number. There are two sets of numbers 0 231 163 008 and 311 905
205 A-B. Vacuum advance is #265

My fan markings are | | | |

The question was what should the timing be set to? Obviously I dont use the
procedure for a 72, since I have no vac retard. But I was wondering what the
timing should be set to?

Drake
72 square FI
