Just disconnect the lead and measure the resistance thru the sensor to ground. You can do this cold and warm and compare the numbers you get to those in the Bentley. The sensor is not likely the cause of your problem. Check the charging system voltage. It should be above 14V with the engine warmed up and at med rpm. If it is below 13.5V the FI will start to run rich.
