You turn the engine over to the firing position of each cylinder in turn and then adjust the valves of that cylinder so that each has the required amount of play. You need a feeler gauge of the correct thickness, a 13mm wrench, and a screwdriver. This must be done with the engine cold. You should have a manual. This will show you what to do.
