RE: harness connector at the ECU?

John,
When I check the ECU, should I have the engine running? To see if a wire is
loose and cuts the engine or should it be off, just checking for loose
connections by feel. Thanx for your help!

Subject: harness connector at the ECU?

I've had a similar problem and it turned out to be wire 28 on the
connector block was making an intermittent connection I've heard of
folks soldering the connections but I have not- I just very gently
pushed the contacts more together and refastened it. One way to know
this is the problem is to pull the ECU and the plastic cover off but
don't dissconnect -then use a small insulated screwdriver and just touch
the back of each connection and see if one is loose enough to cause a
problem-keep an eye on wire 28.
Hope this helps.
