A 72 FI should have a dual vac adv dizzy, so SOMETHING has 
been changed around here.

I doubt if it is the fuel pressure if it causes problems at idle, where 
the fuel demands are the least. I'd go ahead and measure the fuel 
pressure now, just to eliminate that as a likehood.

Then concentrate on valve adjustment, dwell, and timing. This may 
be difficult, because this is not a totally 72 engine so the question 
of how to time it comes up right away. Study your engine along 
with the Bentley manual and try to figure out what you really have 
there. How many terminials are there on the throttle valve switch?

First things to check are the timing and the advance mechanisms.

Did it misbehave immediately after this tuneup, or did it run fine for 
awhile?
