Thanks, at least now, I know it can be done. If I need to fabricate any 
parts, I have a machine shop at my disposal at work, and the machinist is a 
former VW mechanic.
I have the complete column in my parts car, so I should have all the parts 
needed. BUT, it has a bad electrical portion in the ignition switch. I guess 
I will get that part on order from RMMW. 
I also see, in their newest catalog, that they have a solid state voltage 
drop for the wipers if you want to convert to 12V which I am planning on 
doing.
