If yours has the wrong ones in it, this could cause the leak. If you case and cooler is orginal, (8mm) oil holes in both), then it takes the big thick seals, and a certain thickness washer at each bolt. (don't remember the thickness). If you have 10mm oil passages in each, then it takes the thin seals. that have a 10mm hole on each side, and no washers. If you have an 8mm oil passage in either the case or cooler, and 8mm in the other, then you need the adapter seals, and no washers. I think Toby Ericson has a "how to" on his web sight.
