Yo guys: I have a type 3 related problem: I installed new plug point condenser and adjusted the valves and replace the old starter. Put everything back togather and check it twice. Start up the car the car ran for about two minutes I had it idle a little high so I turn it off and lower the idle. When I attempt to restart the car the car would not start I get the sound of the starter clicking. click click (1) exchange the battery thought it could be low the clicking continue (2) I thought I would try to turn the pulley and low and behold the engine is lock up. yes lock up I tried to turn the pully with a large socket but the engine is lock up solid. Questions what does this sound like to you guys and how can I determine if this is related to the valves adjustment without takeing the engine out of the car? and one last thing what is the procedure for adjusting the valves in a type3 1966 fast back. sure could use some help.
