Re: [T3] quater window or seals?

Heather -

West Coast Metric does not list a new Fastback quarter window seal in there
catalog, except the Cal-Look one. They are about the only suorce in teh US
for new window seals. If your seals are still in good shape and pliable, I
would try to save them.

I successfully removed the quarter windows on both my Fastback and my
Squareback without damaging the seals or breaking the glass. I used a couple
of well worn old, flat screw drivers that I had. They did not have any sharp
edges on them. A wooden or plastic tongue depressor would probably be a
little safer. Just start at one corner and carefully pry the inner lip of
hte seal up and and then push it down behind the metal flange on the body. On
the Fasty I started at the bottom front corner and worked my way up to and
around the top front corner. Then I started back at front bottom corner
again and worked my to the back. I was able to pull the window free after
going about 3/4 of the along the bottm edge.

It helps to push outward on the glass while you are prying.

Good luck. If you break or damage anthing let me know. I have the seals and
windows from my '71 Fasty that I will not be reusing. DARKSIDE has called
the Fasty.
