So was is a bad ground? I have the same issue with mine. Allthough I hooked my clock to a 9 volt battery and the electro mag did not reset the armature. I think that there waw not enough amperage or voltage. I know Jim Adney can rebuild them but I just want to try myself. Just for educational purposes. Anyway glad to see that it works for you!! Those little simple luxuries just make driving a lot more fun. erick the daddy 68 fasty --- Rob Carpenter <brnagn7@yahoo.com> wrote: > Ok I posted the question how to fix my clock, well, > my > biggest delima was getting the plastic cover off > without breaking it, what appears to be holding it > back from easily coming off is the, male power > prong, > it is sorta sealed around the plastic, like fused or > something. > > I cut around it just enough to break it free with a > razor knife and wham I carefully remove the case. > Then im doing my inspection of the fusing wire etc, > or > actually just trying to find one!! > > Any start to tinker w/ the clocks counter balance > weight, the one that electrically gets zapped back > to > start the count over again, TICK!
