For a 68 you need the suffix A. I have those NOS parts in stock for $40
including shipping. I think you are here in Madison, so you can save $5 by
picking it up, but I have to charge you sales tax.

It is called an overflow hose, but it's real function is to vent the high point of
the gas tank so that the tank can be filled all the way to the top.

The charcoal cannister and overflow tank didn't come in until 70. Before then
there was just a simple vent system, which changed in mid 68. The Bentley
manual shows the details.

The real problem with them is that when they crack, and they ALL do, then
water is thrown into the gas tank when driving in the rain. This leads to
incredible and expensive problems with the FI and even with the carbs if they
are converted, often because the FI was thought to be the source of the
problem.

You really need to fix this hose, but you will also need to make sure that the
tank vent hoses are clear so that air can get in as gas is used up. Otherwise
you can damage the gas tank or possibly the new hose.
