<x-charset iso-8859-1>Yeah, well, to be honest I really dislike e-screw-you-over-Bay and this rip-off, er, auction is a good example. I get tired of people taking advantage of others, painting bunny rabbits and roses on everything, then the buyer gets the item and discovers all these little things that are wrong and the sum ends up being a PITA. If the person isn't completely dedicated and has some sort of cash flow then the item or car ends up getting trashed, either by neglect or physically tossed, and our parts availability gets smaller. So I check out the pictures and give my opinions on what I see, hopefully shedding more light on an already dimly-lit "bargain". I know if I'm wrong I'll be corrected and hopefully others will find flaws and point them out. This gives anyone on the list a good bargaining standpoint should they want to contact the seller privately or at least let them better know what they are getting, reducing surprises. I know I'd be miffed if I bought a 'rare' part (that all are, ya know...whatever!) only to find out everybody knows it's actually not rare at all but the seller just claims ignorance (I'd prefer to call it purposeful stupidity). I know you're giving us a hard time :) From what I've seen, those really interested in the greater good of the T3 make offers in this forum or other VW-dedicated location and shy away from auctions because keeping the hobby alive and affordable is worth more than the cash in pocket. Really, if I wanted to pay high dollar for parts I'd buy a Porsche! I guess you can tell this is one of those buttons o' mine that shouldn't be pushed ;) Toby Erkson air_cooled_nut@pobox.com >-----Original Message----- >YEAH TOBY, >Give the BIG SMACK DOWN!!
