Re: [T3] Cheap replacement

The only aftermarket replacement dashpads I've been able to find are the '70
and later style with the plastic grille over the speaker. I believe there
are four styles of dash's (and someone correct me if I'm wrong) 1961-1965
with wraparound dash; 1961-1965 non-wraparound (which may be the same as
1966-7); 1966-7 with holes drilled in the dashpad for speaker (no seperate
grille); and 1968-9 with holes drilled for speaker, but with a small
non-drilled section in the middle of the holes about a half inch wide. The
change from no middle section to middle section seems silly, but maybe the
non drilled center section made for less cracking. I too am looking for a
good replacement dash pad for my '66, but the only ones out there are good
used ones, and they are pricey, (for me, anyway). Has anyone heard about
places that "rebuild" dashpads?
