Alright, I have the square running pretty good right now(the point gap was set to .009), but I have a couple of issues yet. I'm trying to raise up the idle and the problem I have is it will only go up a little( I don't have a meter on it but it still is a little low) and then it stops, no matter how much I adjust the idle screw, is this normal and if not what could be the problem. Second I still have a slight hesitation at the very low-mid rpm range, any ideas there. And now I'm going to ask a couple of very dumb questions, first were in the engine compartment do you guys get 12-volts for your test equipment, and second, is there a very straight forward description on adjusting the timing? I was reading the procedure(quickly as I was running out of time) out of my Haynes manual and the explanation wasn't as simple as a regular type 1 or standard classic v-8. Sorry for the newby questions, any help would be greatly appreciated.
