I went and looked at a bunch oif them last night and could not see 
this, but I didn't take any of the contacts out of the holders. They 
sure didn't look rolled to me, but I agree that this deserves a closer 
look.

After I wrote last nigtht's comment, I noticed this, too. I'm sure 
you're right that this is an options table for different kinds of 
materials and finishes, including some that do not get the gold 
plating on the tips.

I'm pretty sure the first 2 columns are the cross section of the 
copper in the wire that these can be used with, and the overall wire 
diameter, including insulation. These seem appropriate for the wire 
used in the FI harnesses.

The one thing that bothers me is that the earliest date on this 
drawing is 71. It should be 67. Of course this part may have 
superceeded an earlier part, or perhaps they just made a new 
drawing in 71. IIRC, this drawing also calls out a small oval 
perforation at the base of each fork that I don't remember seeing 
on our parts, but I would have to take one apart to verify that.

The other thing to keep in mind is that AMP is a HUGE company 
and a partial catalog of their products 10 years ago was 3 inches 
thick. It's hard to describe the amount of variety available from 
them, as well as the number of parts that go obsolete every year.
