"Measure the amount of fuel injected by the accelerator pumps and reduce if necessary. The amount injected should be at the lower limit of the specified 0.35 - 0.55 cc per stroke. Instructions on the reduction of the injection quantity are given in the 1500 Workshop Manual K-2/49" Maybe you are putting too much raw fuel into the intake when you accelerate. You shouldn't need to change the heads, if you can find a set from a single port engine. like a '66. -- Russ Wolfe '71 Fastback AT '66 Fastback MT (IT RUNS) russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe </x-charset>
