I had a Sony head unit, one 4x40 watt rms and one 2x50 watt rms amp, in addition to fog lights and low beams (55 watt each) and that was more juice than the 35A generator could supply. So I had to break out the trickle charger about once a week. An alternator from a Daihatsu will sovle this when the car gets back into service. Basically, you can read how much an amplifier can draw by looking at it's fuse. They generally have fuses just barely above the max power draw so do your math from there. My 2 amps had one 20A fuse each, in addition to that the fog lights (2 x 55 watts = 8A), the low beams (2 x 55 watts = 8A) and 10x 5 watt parking light bulbs (50 watts = 4A) and fresh air fan, wipers, heated rear window and little bit for the coil and that is a hefty power draw :-) PerL 73 Variant L Square67@aol.com wrote: > I am going to install a system in my square, but i wonder how the electical > will hold up.
