<x-charset iso-8859-1>The early Vanagon engine and coil is the same as a late loaf engine, and it has a standard VW coil. Owned an '80 Vanagon for 14 years. Fairly straight forward FI system. Never had an injector problem. BTW, if you get a coil without the internal resistor, you'll eat points every 200 miles, BTDT. Some idiot installed one in my bus, and it wasn't me, thank AAA service for that after a tow, they insisted on solving the problem. This would apply to all VW's. While Herman mentioned rebuilding a late Vanagon, the question asked concerned an early Vanagon coil. Subtle, but important distinction. A T1 type should be just fine; I don't know about the late Vanagon. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe </x-charset>
