1970, T-3, fastback, 1600, auto, with 2 weber 34 ICT's. a header system Maybe somebody can help me out.. There is a horrible crashing sound coming from my fan housing.. It sounds like there is a broken fan blade or something.. it doesn't happen all the time the engine is running, only when I rev it a bit. Now I am scared to drive it,, (its my daily driver) Please give me advice. Without removing the engine.. I removed: the bellows, the cooling air intake, the Crankshaft pulley, and the back fan housing.. (all hard work) started the engine and it still makes that terrible sound every once awhile. I had just the fan with nothing around it and it was still making that sound. Soo.. I removed the fuel pump and put in a new electric fuel pump and regulator, hoping that would help. no good. The sound is very loud and sounds like a loose blade or something.. dont know if any of you have had this problem.. You have helped me lots so far. Thanks,, Ralph ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web! Visit http://www.vwtype3.org/list/
