Hello all, I have a two type 3 front ends. One off of a '71 Fastback and the other off of a '72 (9/71) squareback from with the california changes whatever they might be. I noticed that the squareback front disc baking plates are "flared" so that the brakes are more ventilated, but more dirt and whatever else gets in. and on my fastback they are shaped around the rotor itself, allowing less dirt... also the calipers have different bolt sizes and the distance between the bolt holes so they are not easily interchangeable, I know that they have an ATE and VW part numbers (i could get those if needed) but I was wondering which pair is better? On another thought I have these "Shelby cal. 500" rims (14x7, 4 lug) and I was wondering if I could use them on either of the FB and SQB front ends. I am sure they are for a vw, and I have seen a simalar style on a super beetle. I was not sure if the SQB's larger baking plate would get in the way of the rim itself, I am planning on lowering my front spindles probably one or two notches, could i get a different size tire on these rims? Thanks for you time... Heather soon to be '71 Fastback __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? NEW from Yahoo!
