The OE size was 6.00 x 15, while later models were available with radials as an option in 165SR15, which are the same rolling radius and width. Other sizes can be installed with varying degrees of success, depending on what you're after. The OE wheels are 4-1/2 x 15 with an offset of 46mm. Your chrome wheels are almost certainly beetle wheels which may have the right width and diameter, but will have less offset. These will put more stress on the wheel bearings, but this doesn't seem to be much of a problem. - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
