The type 3 gas tank is above the engine even on level ground, so you don't have to be tilted up to have this problem. The electromagnetic pilot jets don't have anything to do with this, they just prevent dieseling after shut off. Many of the carbed type 3s (which?) came with an in-line gadget that prevented flow TO the fuel pump until there was pressure/flow FROM the pump. These were the things that actually prevented a leaky float valve from filling your cylinders. I think these useful gadgets were trouble prone. By the time those cars get to me they are always gone. - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------------------------- Too much?
