Well, maybe the problem was the pump, maybe it wasn't, but you 
should have asked HERE first. There are pumps available here for a 
LOT less. Plus the advice you might have used to determine 
whether you really needed to replace the pump at all.

What kind of gas mileage are you getting? If it is low, you may 
need a new voltage regulator. Measure the system voltage with the 
engine warm and running at med RPM. It should measure more 
than 14V. If it is less than 13.5V replace the VR with a genuine 
Bosch.
